As well as tasting sessions, guided tours can also be organised. These vary from wine and beer, to saline vegetables and oysters. Below is a list of some of the best tasting locations in Zeeland.
Saline vegetables
Close to one of Europe’s largest salt marshes, the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe, saline vegetables are cultivated close to the shore. For example, at De Mariahoeve. Here, as part of a guided tour, you can discover more about the cultivation of saline vegetables and then sample them first-hand. You can also take part in seaweed tasting via WildWier. Oysters

Beer tasting
If you’re looking for that all-elusive beer, you’ll maybe find it in Zeeland. Slot Oostende in Goes brews two of its own beers: Slot Oostende and Emelisse. In the same complex as the brewery are a hotel and restaurant. Why not book a tasting session and take the guided tour around this impressive location?
The Brouwerslokaal is located in Goede in Zeeland-Flanders. Here too you can sample the local tipple (in an old school building, no less!) As well as serving local beers, they dish up local fare as well. Go for it!
Distilllery tastings
From ciders and spirits to honied wine and liqueurs: at The Holy Spiritus they brew and distill their own unique range of drinks from fruit and/or honey. And all this in a decommissioned church! A tasting session won’t disappoint, neither will the guided tour.

Wine lovers beware! The Zeeland climate is ideal for viticulture. The clayey soils, the fresh sea breezes and the many hours of sunshine guarantee good wines with a unique taste and character: full-bodied, robust and pure. A taste full of Zeeland character!
There are a number of vineyards where you can sample Zeeland’s wines. For example, De Kleine Schorre winery in Schouwen-Duiveland. Did you know that their wines are served in KLM business class? Not without reason!
Likewise at the Westerhoeve vineyard in Oostkapelle and De Boe in Koudekerke. Here too, you can book a tour and a tasting.
