About this location
Former orphanage (1862-1955) with a magnificent period room, the so-called Regent's Room, decorated with eighteenth-century gold leather wallpaper and ceiling paintings (1628). Nowadays the house is occupied by Chris Braat and Theresia Koelewijn who use the house as a gallery, sculpture garden, centre for creative workshops and wedding location. During the summer months there is an exhibition of sculptures by contemporary artists and small antiques in the house and the romantic courtyard garden.
