The Kloveniersdoelen, dating from 1607, was built in so-called Flemish Renaissance Style. It is a beautiful structure with 36 decorative wall clamps. The local militia once practised cannon-fire here. In the French period, the building served as a military hospital.

From 1984 to 2004, it was in use as a music centre. The Kloveniersdoelen is now a multi-functional centre and houses a brasserie, a cinema, meeting rooms and a garden patio.
