The Cornelius Church is located in the village ring of Noordwelle. The original building dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. During the siege of Zierikzee by Spanish troops in 1576/1576 the church was badly damaged, but after that it was restored. The organ, built by Flaes and Brünjes, dates from 1868.
