The new pavilion (opening mid-May) BomBaai Beach Bar is located in a unique and intimate location. On the bathing beach of Westkapelle, in the middle of the only bay of the Municipality of Veere, BomBaai is conducting a refreshing menu with dishes from all over the world in a colorful concept. Order a delicious cocktail or a good glass of wine and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

The bay was created during the inundation (flooding) of Walcheren on October 3, 1944. The dikes in Westkapelle were bombed by the Allies to be able to deploy the liberation. The historical elements emerge daily at low tide. At extremely low tide, even the old bombed dike looks up to his village.

The lifeguard post is located directly next to the pavilion and on top of the dike there is a nice playground for the kids!

Don't feel like lugging all those beach gear? In the summer months there is rental of sunbeds & parasols!
