Discovery route: Expedition Delta

Often it will take you along the coastline, through a magnificient landscape that alternates between the land and the sea. More information about Expedition Delta can be found here.

Zeeland Circular

The backbone to this tough, multi-day cycle route is formed by dams, bridges and dykes. Beyond lies a new world of discovery, since each of the islands holds its own special charm. The route is over 300 kilometres long and follows the provincial borders as much as possible. There are some stunning cycleways, both inside or outside the dyke system, and in or out of the wind. The Zeeland Circular traverses spectacular dunescapes, forests and peaceful polders. Discover the almost limitless expanses of both land and sea.

Coastal Route

The Coastal Route runs from Cadzand-Bad to Bad Nieuweschans. Dunes, historic towns and villages and characteristic open landscapes are all part of the Zeeland cycling experience. On this route, you will encounter several dams and storm surge barriers in the Delta Plan. The Coastal Route enables you to experience Zeeland in unprecedented fashion, with seascapes and dunescapes and with the sand crunching under your tyres. Cycle with the wind in your back!

Scheldt-Rhine Route (LF-13)

The long-distance cycle path, known as LF-13, is the Scheldt-Rhine Route starting in Vlissingen and ending in Duisburg in Germany. The total length of the route is 285 km. The Zeeland section passes through Walcheren and then takes in the Zak van Zuid-Beveland. In 1994, these regions were elevated to the status of ‘Valuable Cultural Landscape’. Along the way, there are spectacular views across the Westerschelde estuary. Eventually, you will leave Zeeland at the Brabantse Wal.
