Discovery route: Expedition Delta
As well as being a stunning connection between the islands in the south-western sector of the delta, the Delta Works form an impressive backdrop to this long-distance cycle route. Zeeland Circular
Coastal Route
The Coastal Route runs from Cadzand-Bad to Bad Nieuweschans. Dunes, historic towns and villages and characteristic open landscapes are all part of the Zeeland cycling experience. On this route, you will encounter several dams and storm surge barriers in the Delta Plan. The Coastal Route enables you to experience Zeeland in unprecedented fashion, with seascapes and dunescapes and with the sand crunching under your tyres. Cycle with the wind in your back!
Scheldt-Rhine Route (LF-13)
The long-distance cycle path, known as LF-13, is the Scheldt-Rhine Route starting in Vlissingen and ending in Duisburg in Germany. The total length of the route is 285 km. The Zeeland section passes through Walcheren and then takes in the Zak van Zuid-Beveland. In 1994, these regions were elevated to the status of ‘Valuable Cultural Landscape’. Along the way, there are spectacular views across the Westerschelde estuary. Eventually, you will leave Zeeland at the Brabantse Wal.
