Middelburg Easter Fair – 30 and 31 March and 1 April
At Middelburg’s Easter fair you can enjoy all the trappings of Easter from stallholders at the main market square in Middelburg. In front of the town hall and surrounded by bustling pavement cafes, all sorts of special bargains are on offer, from antiques and other collectibles to decorative items for home and garden, local delicacies and other great stuff! The Easter fair takes place from 30 March to 1 April from 10 am to 5 pm.
Vlissingen Easter market – 31 March
Vlissingen’s Easter market is host to 150 stalls varying from jewellery to delicious waffles. Saunter through the market with great views out to sea and complete your day with a stroll along the beach! The Easter market takes place on 31 March on the Boulevard from 10 am to 5 pm.
Breskens Easter Market – 1 April
Breskens too, has its very own Easter market. The market opens on 1 April between 10 am and 5 pm and has various stalls. Enjoy all the fun and entertainment along with a drink and bite to eat.

In the countryside
In addition to the various Easter markets, a whole host of Easter activities are organised in Zeeland. The local nature conservation trust, Stichting Het Zeeuwse Landschap, organises Easter walks throughout the province. During the walks, not only can you enjoy some amazing scenery, but also listen to what the guide has to say about its fauna and flora. A wide choice of trails is available, for example, in Het Zwin, Waterdunen or Oranjezon.
Ever been to an ostrich farm? Monnikenwerve ostrich farm organises special Easter tours the whole weekend. Ostriches exists in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from chicks to fully grown breeding birds. During the guided tour you will learn lots of interesting facts about this flightless bird.
Time for Easter brunch!
There are lots of great activities to enjoy with all the family. For example, enjoy an Easter brunch at Vierlinden in Goes or at Klok’uus in ’s-Heer Arendskerke, while the kids can frolic around in the playground.
An Easter ride on a steam train or day out with the car?
Fancy riding the steam train between Goes and Borsele on Saturday, 30 March? From Goes, you can travel by historic diesel locomotive to Hoedekenskerke, where a delicious Easter brunch awaits.
Are you happier travelling under your own steam by car? If so, on Easter Monday, you can take part in a treasure hunt by car (start Heinkenszand). Once you cross the finishing line you can try a game of bingo.

If you like bobbing up and down on the dance floor, there’s nothing better than the Easter Festival in Heinkenszand. With the longest Easter food fair, live music, food trucks and a festive evening, it promises to be a weekend full of surprises.
